administration districts of the austro-hungarian monarchy: austria, styria, salzburg, tyrol, vorarlberg, carinthia, krain, istria, croatia & slawonia, bosnia & herzegowina, dalmatia, bohemia, maehren, silesia, galizia & lodomeria, bukowina, hungary, transsylvania, banat. today they belong to: austria, italy, czech republic, slovakia, hungary, poland, ukraine, romania, slovenia, bosnia & herzogewina, croatia. mining was very important for the treasury of the habsburg emporers. in many mines were fine minerals discovered - many of them are still classics in our museums and private collections. also the alpine clefts and other areas were well known. victor ritter von zepharovich wrote 3 important books about this theme: "mineralogisches lexicon fuer das kaiserreich oesterreich" (1858-1873). all minerals on my pages are in my own colletion. the images are my own work - please respect my copyright! now i wish you much fun with my minerals.
